POSITION: Senior Community Organizer

Job Description Summary

Working with the SWOP Executive Director and senior staff in support of the organization’s campaigns (primarily on immigration, but as necessary on other organizational issues such as housing, public safety, education, health care, etc.), the Community Organizer is responsible for working with community stakeholders to build their capacity to engage in public life. Through one on one meetings, the organizer identifies other’s self-interest, potential for leadership, and appetite for public life. The organizer works with SWOP staff and leaders to carry out campaigns that build the power of the organization to improve the quality of life for community stakeholders.

Compensation:

Full-time salaried position with pay commensurate with experience. SWOP offers medical, dental, life and disability insurance, paid Personal Time Off (PTO), and a 401k retirement plan.
