Report Card Pickup Resources

As an organization, SWOP is always looking for opportunities to engage and build power with the community. On April 10th, 2024, four of the Southwest Organizing Project’s programs kicked into full gear to attend six of their member institution’s report card pickup. The Public Health Ambassadors, Parent Mentor Program, Citizenship and Immigration organizers saw an amazing opportunity to engage people around SWOP’s work and to distribute resources to the community through these engagements. Setting up at Hampton, Azuela, Nightingale, Durkin, Mark Twain and Hubbard Elementary schools, SWOP organizers and volunteers offered resources from covid testing kits, to providing information on how to become leaders in their schools as Parent Mentors to assistance with citizenship and Know Your Rights trainings. SWOP’s Jobs and Economic Development team provided additional resources for career pathways opportunities. To see more of what SWOP has to offer or upcoming events, check out our calendar.
