Peace & Wellness Coalition March 2026

The Southwest Organizing Project’s (SWOP) Community Violence Intervention (CVI) team, Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P), continues to create spaces where collaboration, communication, and care for the community come first. On March 24th, 2026, SWOP-CP4P hosted its monthly Peace & Wellness Coalition meeting, bringing together a diverse group of community members, stakeholders, and safety leaders committed to building safer neighborhoods.

The Peace & Wellness Coalition meetings serve as an important touchpoint for those on the front lines of community work. Each month, participants gather to stay informed about what is happening across the community—sharing updates on emerging situations, ongoing challenges, and collective responses. These meetings also provide an opportunity for organizations and residents alike to exchange information about upcoming events, new initiatives, and shifts they are seeing on the ground. By fostering open dialogue, the coalition strengthens coordination and ensures that those doing the work are not doing it in isolation.

This month’s gathering reflected that spirit of unity and awareness. Attendees engaged in meaningful conversations, offered insights from their respective roles, and contributed to a shared understanding of how to better support the community. The space encouraged honesty, collaboration, and a shared commitment to peace and wellness across the neighborhoods SWOP serves.

The Peace & Wellness Coalition remains a vital part of SWOP-CP4P’s ongoing efforts to build safer, more connected communities. For those interested in being part of these monthly conversations and contributing to this collective work, please reach out to Armando Mancilla for more information on how to get involved.
